After literally "losing the farm" after a divorce, our 60-year-old narrator starts off on a meandering road trip with the vague goal of renaming the states (and state birds). Along the way he encounters unexpected sexual activity--and lots of introspection. This is not an action-packed novel, but it's fun to go along for the drive!

Follow the journey of a man who is starting a new part of his life. After living his life as a college professor, then a farmer, Cliff is confronted with another life changing event. Enjoy his trip across the country and the adventures that unfold.
The book is well written and the narrator is fantastic. Very enjoyable.

Harrison at his ribald, irreverent best. I think I would have liked this book whenever I read it, but being now "of a certain age" loved it.
