Hard to believe that this was a debut novel. The author did a great job with the storyline(s) and character development, as well as descriptions of locations. Normally I do not read "paranormal" but this book had it all: historical fiction, mystery and paranormal. Held my interest throughout and I give it 4 stars.

Great read! The author did a pretty good job flipping between time periods and writing a good historical mystery (or should I say 'mysteries'). Makes the reader really think about whether he/she would like to live forever....what do we lose in the process?
