I have just finished reading three books by Jean Stubbs, Summer Secrets, Family Games and Kelly Park. As I read each of them, I had the same delight that I used to experience with Rosamunde Pilcher's books. The back of one of her books says it best: "Combining the complex, richly-drawn characters reminiscent of Maeve Binchy with the evocative atmosphere of a Rosamunde Pilcher novel, internationally acclaimed author Jean Stubbs creates a moving and memorable story."

While I enjoyed all three of the books by her I've read, my favourite was Kelly Park. Taking place in London and Cornwall of the late 1970's, it had wonderful descriptions, witty dialogue and a plot line with many twists and turns, and characters I came to care deeply about.

Anyone else have a Jean Stubbs book to recommend?

The Shell Seekers by Rosamunde Pilcher is my all time favorite book. I have read it several times. I just ordered Kelly Park and Summer Secrets from you! Thanks for introducing me to a new author. These sound like books I will really enjoy!

You have a wonderful bookshelf---full of my favorite authors! I'll be back to shop another day!
