This is a charming, wonderfully written story about a boy whose hen lays an enormous egg....and out hatches a triceratops! It's a wonderful story about a boy, his new, unexpected pet, and the uproar his new little dinosaur causes in his sleepy little town. I absolutely loved this story as a child myself, and then found it again to read to my own children. It's an absolute keeper, one that all generations can enjoy. I was a huge reader as a child (still am!), and of all the hundreds and hundreds of books I read as a kid, this is one of the few that I remember so well and so fondly. Great book!
