Has anyone read this?  I started it last night and can't put it down.  Very scary.  Is it really based on a true story?

I read it many years ago and thorough enjoyed it. There was a movie made based on the book which supposedly was a true story. I never read any more on the woman who was supposedly haunted by the entity.
