Is there a forum specifically for erotica? I'm looking for a thread or forum that gives recommendations of authors. I looked through L&R but I couln't find anything, though I could swear I found a particular thread a while ago.

Thanks!

It is usually under L & R.  Right now they have a guess the book erotica thread.  But the best place for discussions might be the erotica swaps under games.

ETA - One game has over 300 pages.

We have the Den of Sin: Chat room.   Its a thread where we chat about the erotica books we like/ or not.   It's was started by Misty, so that the ladies who read erotica can discuss what titles, or anything else.   Mostly its frequented by the players of the erotica swap, but anyone can post.   We have a list of favorite titles there.   I made a link, hope it works:

Are you looking specifically for paranormal erotica suggestions, or just erotica in general? If in general, here's a link to an L&R thread from a few months ago. You could always bump it and get new recommendations. ;-) And there are several other threads over there, probably within the first page or two, about more specific genres, like historical erotica.

Thanks:) I've been checking out the Den of Sin...

The link you gave me, Gina, looks like it will help:) I've looked on Samhain and Ellora's Cave but there are so many authors... Try to look for something kinda specific and it takes forever...

Leslie, you said you're looking for something specific, do you mind me asking what it is? Maybe I can help. :-)

there have been several threads in the love & romance..though some are probably many pages back and not all were titled with key words in the title to make for easy searching. you can always start another thread there too but it helps to be specific in what you're looking for 'cause there's tons of different subgenres.

I went through some threads but my eyes are getting gritty, lol. Ummm, I'm looking for something kinda like Shayla Black's Wicked Ties. Light BDSM, menage M/F/M. It can be historical, sci-fi/fantasy, contemporary... Alpha male(S), smart heroine (no whining virgin, lol). I didn't like Wolf Tales and Elizabeth Amber's Lords of Satyr series. I guess that's a good start:)

(Maybe I should be posting this somewhere else! Don't want to offend some of the younger crowd. But the Den of Sin looks lilke it's mainly a "Hello" thread, except for the first few posts. Although my subject line should give some warning, lol.)

Hmm, I'll have to think on that one. I would definitely take this over to the L&R forum, though. I'm sure you'd get some great suggestions. Same with the DOS...just pop on in, introduce yourself and tell the gals what you're looking for. The DOS is a chat thread, so anything goes.

Den of Sin is a great place to go with this.  While it does have a bunch of hello stuff, it is because it doesn't have a whole forum, just a thread.  They are a great bunch of ladies and make excellent recommendations.  I am kinda new to erotica too, so I would love to see what they say.

Leslie,

There were two games recently with books that you might find interesting.  One was a BDSM swap and the other was a Menage swap.  You could go through the list of what people offered to see what you might like.  As for authors I would look at Maya Banks, Jenny Penn, Leah Brooke, and Robin L Rotham.

Do any of you have suggestions for Erotica that is so good (the storyline is good) that it would survive even without any of the erotica in it?

I would try Lisa Marie Rice, Lora Leigh, Shelly Laurenston (paranomal writer) and Shiloh Walker.  Lisa Marie Rice has great stories look for the Dangerous trilogy.  For Shiloh Walker I would look at Fragile and The Missing.  Shelly Laurenston has a series about shapesifters with a lot of humor.  Most of the books can be read as stand alones, just look at the descriptions of the books.  Lora Leigh has an elite ops and Tempting Seals series that you could look into.  The latest book is Heat Seaker the others are Marerick, Wild Card, Killer Secrets, Dangerous Games, and Hidden Agendas.  Lora Leigh also has a breeds series that is great.  Some books are more sex than others.  Elizabeth's Wolf is the one book that is generally rated the highest.

Thanks Arica. I FINALLY got myself the first three breeds books from Leigh. I love Shiloh Walker and I'm working on getting Fragile and The Missing in two different swaps. I'm gonna look into Lisa Marie Rice!

You can click on the Club Tag Cloud under Community.  There is a tag for erotica and erotic romance.  You can see what out there and read members reviews.  You can even resort the list by posted books.  It is a LONG list.
