I could have avoided all that trouble if only I had remembered to fix the car.
Some years back a terrible
collision accident kept me hospitalized for three weeks, then bed bound at
home with nurse care for two more months.Following this horrible accident
was loss of one's self which I had to find.Having been active prior,a
mom of two children, married with a healthy marriage this all changed.I
became stress to the family,a true burden and I hated being such.To make
matters worse the accident was my fault and I had a perfect driving
record up to that. However we had an old car and we had been putting off
some work that should have been done, the steering always pulled some.I
was too close to the line and veered over and he was close, thus we
collided.Witnesses said it happenned very quickly but nonetheless it was my
fault. He sufferred no injuries being in a large semi-truck but was angry
about it all.Yes he was like a chicken who had the eggs
taken. He decided to win the lotto on me if he could, roaring mad was
he.I was flown in critical condition by helicopter.I did not wake up for
three days. When I made it home in three weeks my lawyer visited me.She
knew it was a true accident.I had been stapled, stitched and put
together by surgery in most areas. Most of my hair was gone because it was full
of glass and I was really weak. The other party went for gusto gold and
took it to Supreme court trying to claim a prior workers comp
injury. Finally he was paid for some whiplash and damage to his truck, the
liability by law amount but not what he was looking for and this was two years
later, then it closed. My surgeries amounted to four over time with
permanent nerve damage and one leg longer than the other.I must use a cane
for the rest of my life also.My inner spirit has come to life and
learned to dance.I have learned to be productive through the art of words and
then my heart can be free and my soul can dance.

You have wonderful spirit. So terrible that you've gone through so much physical trauma only to have to endure years of a dragged-out lawsuit. I'm glad that you've come out the other side with a good heart--not everyone would.
