Charming book that is slightly different than Betty Neels' other books. Esmeralda Jones, a nurse with a damaged foot, is infatuated with a money-seeking English doctor when a surgeon, Thimo Bamstra - Dutch, of course! - offers to correct her foot. The Dutchman's many kind gestures perplex Esmeralda while she works hard to recover from surgery so that she can dance with her self-absorbed doctor friend. So why is she lonely when Thimo isn't around?

Book Description
SHE WAS A MOST UNLIKELY BRIDE
Esmeralda Jones was a very nice girl. It seemed to Esmeralda that she was also invisible to the opposite sex. Perhaps the real reason for this was the impaired foot she had struggled with since childhood. When the brilliant surgeon Thimo Bamstra offered to cure her, Esmeralda was over the moon. Thimo also managed to mend her broken heart. Esmeralda had never imagined marriage as part of her future, but now she could dream of little else
