This is an excellent book. The vampire story is particularly compelling, as it is written in the style of a diary and is handwritten, with drawings; sort of a graphic novel actually. If you play any of the RP games from White Wolf, or if you just want to check out their "worlds" first, this is a great place to start.

"The Book of Nod" is another I'd highly recommend; it also is written in graphic novel style.
