This book's been around awhile, but it's still one of the rare one's in the Vampire lexicon -- a true romance. Touching, with a lively, time traveling plot and a satisfying ending. I enjoy this author.

Maeve Tremayne is a vampire capable of traveling through time. When she visits a Civil War battlefield to feed off of the dying soldiers, she is discovered by Dr. Calder Holbrook. Calder believes he is seeing an angel tending to the wounded. When he finds out she is a vampire, he asks her to change him into one too. He longs to be able to travel through time and discover the advances in medicine in the twentieth century. Maeve refuses. The romance in this book was OK, but I liked the plot concerning stopping the war with the angels by destroying Lizette. The vampires teaming up with their mortal enemies, the warlocks, to fight Lizette made for some interesting situations. My rating: 3.5 Stars.

Linda Lael Miller wrote a series of three books about vampires. this is book two. These were the first books I'd read that were paranormal romance, back in 1994. They are excellent. I really think these are what started my obsession with paranormal books. She is a great writer and they read fast!
THIS ONE IS ABOUT ONE OF THE TWIN VAMPIRES. ONE BECAME HUMAN AGAIN, THE OTHER NOT. BUT THIS TWIN HAD A HUMAN LOVER AND GUESS WHAT? A BABY GIRL WITH POWERS OF HER OWN. LOVED IT.
