Who is on Etsy, whether as a buyer or a seller?  (Or both, if you're like me!)

For those of you who aren't familiar with Etsy, it's the most amazing online marketplace for buying and selling all things handmade.  Sort of like eBay, but all handcrafted and 10 times better!

My personal Etsy shop is dismantled, where I make recycled clothing and accessories, and I'm also a member of the Etsy Trashion street team, which is a group of artists from all over the world who work in recycled materials.

Another addict there...  (as you know!)

Just listed some stuff in my shop and just bought some stuff too.  Of course, I started browsing and found stuff I love.  In fact, I've got lots of things marked as favourites now and need to decide what's going to make it into the shopping cart come payday on Friday.

I think it's dangerous for me to have found etsy -- esp. when I've found some gorgeous pottery.  Oh no!

I had an etsy account for selling for 4 months but nothing sold. I just didnt have anywhere to advertise I guess bc I only got a little interest in one thing but no sale. Ive switched over to ebay now bc I am selling some things that arent handmade as well.

Mallory, I just looked at you Etsy shop.  Wonderful stuff!  I have an Etsy shop (jorimporium), but it's empty right now.  I had a few items of children's clothing, but nothing sold.  I plan to do a LOT of sewing this summer, so maybe I'll restock at some point.

Marci, what's the name of your Etsy shop?

I have an etsy store, too.  I hand-dye clothing, silks, scarves, fabric--whatever stands still long enough.  My shop is http://miaropa.etsy.com and I am also part of EtsyTexasCrafters.  I love etsy, even when I don't sell much--it gives me an outlet for my work and I feel like I am finally getting a chance to market my work.  I am off to check out your shops, too!

I've been considering opening an Etsy shop. I usually make cloth menstrual pads, and baby pillows, quilts, all sorts of stuff. I get so bored and make so much stuff, I might as well try and make some profit. lol ;)

I just recently joined Etsy. I'm hoping to get rid of some of the stash I have accumulated, so that I can get back into my sewing room for some actual creating.

Just had my first sale today - woo hoo!  THink I listed my first batch of stuff at the end of June.  I've not been actively promoting my shop, but as we're organising the NJ Street Team, I think that's gonna chance.   I'm thrilled about it.  It's a great start to the week.

I don't have a est site but did set up a album to show books an prices I'm selling.been doing ok with it but not sure how to even advertise it. so just been doing it in the groups I'm in.

If anyone would like to check it out and let me know what you think would appreciate it. I just keep adding more and more as I go through books and take pictures. Its funny I'll decide to part with one than go to list it and change my mind.

I can't figure out how to list that the stuff comes from a smoke free home and that I'd like paypal or money orders. anyone have any ideas

Well, I just sold the one item I managed to put in my store - a vintage apron pattern book!  Hooray!  I'm starting with destashing, and hoping to get up some of my creations in time for Christmas shopping.

That site is as addicting as PBS!

i opened an account on etsy the other day but my account is still not activated up to now. i've sent them 2 emails already to confirm my email account. hmmmnnnnn... what could possibly be wrong?:( how long does it usually take before they activate new accounts?

i do sell my handicrafts at ebay and wanna try my luck at etsy. though i'm addicted to xs, i love to make fashion jewelries too.
