N R. (Moonpie) reviewed Everlastings: The Complete Book of Dried Flowers on + 1170 more book reviews
So many old hobbies are coming back, and drying flowers for everlasting arrangements and bouquets seems to be one of them. This book discusses how to grow you own, collecting them in the wild, drying methods, plus a catalog of each flower that is suitable and drying methods for each one. Each page has a beautiful realistic color drawing of the flower so you can easily identify it, the genus, species and family for each plant is also listed. You can use the botanical information to find plants that are similar or can be used in the same way. Some are surprising as I didn't know you could dry them.
I have enjoyed this book for many years but longer have the time to pursue this hobby.
