Topic: everytime I printed a slip it said media mail until now..

it said first class?  and it was cheaper than media mail, why???

Books that weigh less than 6 oz are able to be sent 1st class at a lower price. and 7 oz is only .02 more.

thanks, so it knows weight by isbn#?  I did a 3 for 1 so media still must be cheaper

There is a database that PBS uses with book information that is used to help estimate the weight.

When you do a 3 for 1 special, media mail will be less expensive since you are probably close to a pound, or just over a pound with 3 books.

I just mailed a book that the label had printed up as first class.  But the weight was not accurate cause when I went to the post office it was cheaper to send the book media mail.  The post-lady put a sticker over the first class label and put media mail over it instead.
