Does anyone else feel guilty when they miss a day of exercise? I usually go 7 days a week but didn't have the energy for it today. I'm going to try to go twice tomorrow. Am I crazy?

ps I have to add that I"m getting married in 8 months so that might have a little something to do with it

It's really, really difficult to go to the gym 7 days a week.

It's excessive too. Your body doesn't build muscle in the gym - it builds muscle when you rest. You really only need 3x a week in the gym with increased intensity. It sounds like you're overtraining and this is why you don't feel energetic.

Going twice in one day to try to "catch up" for missed workouts doesn't make any sense either. It's important to be consistent. Just go to the gym Mon- Wed- Fri. You'll feel more energized and you'll be able to focus on your wedding.  Good luck.

I just had a fitness eval done by a trainer. She told me I need to do 30 minutes of cardio daily. Doesn't have to be in the gym and I need to strength training at least three days a week.

I agree that twice in one day is not a good idea.

If you really feel like you need to go that often, try doing upper body & core one day, and lower body the next.  That way each muscle group gets a rest.
