And as this is my 1st holiday season with PBS - I'm wondering will there be an increase in the no. of books posted after the holidays once members read the books they'e received as gifts.

Be nice to think that the WL books will start moving quickly in the new year.

You never can tell!  The number of books posted here always fluctuates, and holiday seasons are no exception.  Often, there is an influx of books posted (along with an influx of new members!) but there are also many people that add books to their WishLists, making the lines longer, and lots of members on vacation hold (artificially reducing the WishList line numbers) so there are many, many variables that come into play.

Hopefully you will get more of your WL'd books soon!

I've never noticed a rhyme or reason to when my wishlist books are posted.  Oh, except when I'm out of credits, it's guaranteed I'll get a few wishlist offers!  :)

I'm waiting until after Christmas to get my bookshelf back up. I don't have many waiting now, but I don't want to go to the P.O. again and stand in line if I don't have to, I know media mail will be fighting for transportation room with holiday packages, and the blue boxes I usually use are getting stuffed pretty quickly.

So I usually don't ship this time of year, unless I'm just in the mood to fight the good fight. Lol.

I've seen lots of "new" books posted when people are"off:" evenings, weekends, holidays, snow storms!  I saw a spike (as I was tracking it back then), two years ago, as we approached 1/1/08 and people were organizing for the New Year, moving books to their Book Shelves!  Maybe we'll see it again this year!

I don't know about anyone else, but I'll be posting a bunch of new books after the holidays, because I decorate all my outgoing book packages--just for the fun of it. After the holidays, I'll have a lot more time to decorate book packages, so lots of new requests will be even more welcome than ever! =grin=

I'm trying to avoid the post office this month.  Need to keep packages under 13 oz to avoid the crowds.  So I won't be posting books until later.  But that week between the two holidays, when our library is closed?  Then I'll be clearing shelves and posting.

I know I'll be posting more books around the holidays, once I'm home from college and have more books available to list.  I also will have more time to read the books on my TBR and then post them after.
