On any book detail page, on the right, if you hover with your mouse over any of those buttons you get more info about that button as a "pop-up balloon". Do you know how to make it stop? I've got several books to add to my TBR pile and I think it would make it simpler for me if I could not have those pop up when I don't want them. Thanks for any help. ============== Well I haven't gotten an answer yet. But I found an easier way to add books to my TBR list without going to the details page. So I've totally avoided my problem. But I still would like to know if I can turn off those "help" pop ups. Last Edited on: 5/15/10 4:29 AM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

I don't know that you can stop them from popping up. But those should stay up only while you are hovering over them. If you move your mouse away , they dissappear pretty quickly. If they are staying 'up' for you, I'd say something's going on with your computer. |

Just wondering how you add your books now. I hate those pop-ups too. And I hate all the suggestions when searching even more. So annoying. |

To add to TBR pile without going to each books detail page, you can go to the actual TBR list.At the top, just above the book list, there is a button that says "add a book TBR". You enter the ISBN almost as if you are posting it. It goes much faster. |

I do find the mouse-over info under "more options" gets in my way when I'm trying to click. If I scroll down a litlte on the page, it helps. The ones you are talking about don't actually block me from clicking on my browser, but I wouldn't mind being able to turn them on and off. You could send this in as a suggestion. |
