If you enjoy magical parodies, then this one is for you. "The Exploits of Ebenezvm" contains three novels about a magician and his new apprentice, Wuntvor. Actually the novels are mostly about Wuntvor, as he does most of the narrating. Due to a 'technical' mishap, the wizard Ebenezvm can no longer do magic. So he and Wuntvor are off to the big city to consult with other wizards on a 'cure.'

Along the way, they have numerous run-ins with demons of all colors and sizes, mythological creatures of all sorts, and, even worse, with Brownies. They team up with assassins and warriors, some of whom actually started out to kill them. And Wuntvor has more trouble with the ladies than he even wished for.

However, Wuntvor comes into possession of the magic shinning sword Culbert, which even talks. The problem is that Culbert doesn't like fighting. Fortunately, the great hero Hendrek possesses the powerful war club HeadBasher, a wonder weapon that no man can truly own, only rent.

Oh, did I mention the dragon that does vaudeville and the "Get Out of Hell Free" card? And if you ever plan a trip like theirs, don't forget the ferrets!
