BOOK EXCERPT:
Sometime after the funeral, Mom remembered speaking with my aunt and uncle during that
trying time at West Point. Filtering out of this conversation, came a disconcerting story. The night before my father's death, Uncle Fran and Aunt Eloise saw a vision of Dad in their living room, 1200 miles away from the intensive care unit. They indicated that the vision had been there for only an instant, and then vanished. Mom and Dad had often played cards in that room during their summer visits to Connecticut.
