Sometimes, I found the story cryptic and confusing. I would question if that was what the author meant. Other times it was so blunt, but that was usually when she talked about sex, which seemed forced and bland. Almost as if it was the same as eating toast. Everyone eats toast, everyone has sex. No big deal. Which made it kind of sad.
Besides those two flaws, of being cryptic and blunt, the rest was really very good. This is not the run of the mill kind of novel. It was worth reading.
