Discover the wonderful absurdity of a priest's portable mass-in-a-briefcase kit, or the stunning difference between flyswatters from Zimbabwe and South Korea.   Ogle at the juxtaposition of neoprene surfing shoes and bullfighting slippers; have a gander at a package of emu cutlets and a can of blowfish soup....

Very interesting book about ordinary things which on second thought are extra ordinary objects. Items range from a toilet paper that has English phrases to learn in Japan to bottled air. It'a good book to have on your coffee table to spark interesting and extra ordinary conversations.

Sometimes it's the really colorful things that catch my eye. I stop in a bookstore, curious about the cover art, wonder if I really want to spend my money on this book. I pass. Walk on and then find the book again on PBS. Isn't always like that?

Extra Ordinary Objects is pure eye candy, pictures and descriptions of somewhat not everyday items, in both English and French. I've flipped through, giggled a bit, now it's someone else's turn for the same.
