I feel more gratitude than words can express, for all the kindness I have experienced during my long illness.—If Providence be pleased to lengthen my life, I sincerely hope he will enable me to live wholly to serve and advance his great cause in righteousness; for I now see there is more comfort to be felt under his glorious banner, than amidst all the glittering pleasures of the world, which I entreat thee, my dearly beloved sister to relinquish, and place thy hopes on pure religion, which alone will stand thy solace in the hour of trial; and when the time of dissolution arrives, thou wilt then find, when all other comforts fail,religion will prove thy true comforter;—seek her whilst in health, before all the flattering delusions of this state of mutability.
