I really enjoy the Fingerpicking series published by Hal Leonard. The arrangements, especially in this book, might be too easy for intermediate guitarists but can challenge a beginning guitarist and sound rather pretty good for an "easy" arrangement. The book is written in standard notation and tablature with chords (no fingering charts). A good book to play through when you get sick of the scales and exercises.
