everything Wally Lamb writes is effing amazing. I know this much is true is awesome! (My sisters exchange girl on the year it came out said she had read it back home, in Italy, where she said the title translated to 'A river runs through it.' Odd.) ( She also told us there is no word in Itailian for doohicky. Thingamajig. Whatsit. ect, ect. She said the Arieal the little mermaid song is sung with Areal singing : Want one of these? I have twenty. Would you like one of those? I have plenty. What is this thing here? Do you want one?... ect. language is very odd.) Oh, another language thing we had with her - my sister had a HALF HOUR conversation trying to get her to hear the difference in the American words (or, 'words', i guess, LOL) Mm-hmm and Uh-uh. My sister kept saying them, both, one after another, saying, listen, can't you hear the difference? while the girl just looked at her like her brain had fallen out her left ear and shook her head. It was the funniest thing!
