I would be very hesitant about using FictFact as the last word on series books...I have found a LOT of errors there recently. I get that newsletter that shows new books being released or added to my series, and they have listed books that are non-series books by the same author, have wrong titles listed (they still have Julie Kramer's current book listed as "Killing Kara" when it was changed to "Killing Kate" ages ago, for example) and though I've sent them numerous e-mails and feedback with various corrections, only once have I heard back from them and that was a couple of weeks after the fact. A lot of times when you click on the Amazon link from their website, it goes nowhere and says, "Search not found."

I think the people who run the site have simply bitten off more than they can chew and are having trouble keeping up and/or verifying things before they post it to the website...perhaps are just taking information from site users without checking for accuracy first? I don't know.

I am still waiting for a response also to the suggestion to make it possible to list a series without following it and/or getting updates on it--for example, for those series you've read a few books of, but lost interest. I'd still like to list it, but I don't need to know that the new #14 in series is being released when I stopped reading on book 3.

I noticed the same thing, I'm thinking about not using them any more because of the errors and very slow responses to e-mails.

Thanks for letting us know

Good to know Cheryl--I still plan on using them because they do make it easy to track my series books, but will be careful--especially about new releases in my series.  I have sent them a few corrections in the past and they responded to my corrections quickly but that was a few months ago.  I think you're probably right about them having bitten off more than they can chew.  Hopefully, they'll get everthing ironed out because it does make keeping track of my series so much easier!

I've found errors, too, but will continue to use them for a quick-access list of the series I'm reading and tracking.

I've been extremely lucky with responses from them - they've gotten back to me in sometimes record time, have made some corrections I've indicated, and have added authors/series.

I've not seen many sites that are 100% accurate so I try to be realistic in my expectations.

I really like FictFact for keeping track of all of the series I am reading.  It is still pretty new and I bet it will even get better.

I like FictFact, and hopefully they will be able to keep up with all the new books out there!  =)

Thanks for the note Cheryl.

I still have FictFact as a shortcut on my Desktop, so I still use it.
