I absolutely adored this book. It's story is seperate from the series- Snow White is sent as ambassador to the sultan of the land of Arabian Nights. Instead of making it a goodwill mission, however, the sultan holds her captive to become one of his wives... that he sleeps with and then murders afterwards. Snow has heard that he loves stories, so each night she tells him an exciting story from Fabletown to stave off her death another night. She does this for 1001 nights, but of course in this book we only get a handful. They're basically backstories to some of our favorite characters (including a pretty dark one for Snow), some of them that relate to future books. The book is gorgeous and if you love the characters of this amazing (and my absolute favorite) comic book series, this is a must have, and if you're new to the series this may be a good jumping off point. NOTE TO PARENTS: THIS BOOK IS *NOT* FOR KIDS!
