When I was a kid, I really really enjoyed "The Face on the Milk Carton" by Caroline B. Cooney. And when I picked it up again recently when I was cleaning off a bookshelf, I still found myself really attached to Janie and her "parents". Recently, I learned that there are 3 more books in this series! Part of me is excited; I want to know what happens to Janie has she goes to the Springs and becomes Jennie, grows up with "her" family, what happens to the family and friends she left behind -- but I am also worried that the next books in the series will fall short and that I'll be disappointed. When I was young I sort of made up my own story for Janie, thinking that The Face on the Milk Carton was all that there was and would ever be. I was uncomfortable with the lack of a "solid" ending, but I think that's why I liked it so much.
So, my question is -- has anyone read the subsequent books (I think they're called Whatever Happened to Janie?, The Voice on the Radio, What Janie Found)? What did you think? Should I read them and find out what "actually" happened, or am I going to be majorly let down? I'm mad at the Internet; I wish I had never known the rest of the story was out there ;D
