This was book 3 of the Big Sky series and provided the logical sequence for the reader to follow the fate of the land as well as that of some of the leading characters from the earlier books. The entire series is a very entertaining read.

Dick Summers, restless man of the mountains, returns tothe country he loves..the headwaters of the Missouri River...and finds the woman he'll never leave.
