Hello! I've just recently learned about the author N. D. Wilson, and read his first fantasy novel, 100 Cupboards. It's sort of like Narnia, in that the story starts in our world, and then moves from there...but it is delightfully unique, and very well-written. I think if you liked the feel of Narnia, there's a good chance that you'll like 100 Cupboards.

The second book, Dandelion Fire, is due for release in January, I think, and I was wondering if there are any other Paperback Swap people who enjoy his books.  His website is www.ndwilson.com , and he has a blog there too.

God bless,

HML

Goodness--N. D. Wilson really isn't that popular, I guess! Have any of you at least followed my link?

I'm very very new to fantasy but sounds like an interesting storyline.

Susanna, did you visit the website? If you're new to fantasy, in my own opinion, I'd think 100 Cupboards would be a great place to start. What other fantasy have you read?

well, mostly children's like the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and Wizard of Oz..I have several in my TBR from recommendations I got here a while back - the Wood Wife, Spearwielder's Tale, Lloyd Alexander, Kushiels' Dart(1st 3 in this series actually) , some more Harry Potters, and some others I can't think of the titles of right now. I read mostly romance and lately have been on a light paranormal romance kick mixed with regular romance but I'm ready when the fantasy bug bites again! just not enough time for everything I want to read!
