I know I should read her in order, but this is the first one of Karin Slaughter's books I've read. I really, really enjoyed it, even though the climactic moment of confrontation with the villain was very graphic and I abhor violence against women and children. I will definitely read more of her.

An excellent thriller thats takes the reader to the "dark side". Not for the faint of heart with the graphic forensic detail.

This thriller kept my interest through to the end. It is a "must read" if you are a mystery buff! A victim is buried alive in the Georgia woods and the story evaolves around a medical examiner and her ex-husband who is a police chief who work to solve the murder and there is a series of "shocking and sordid revelations. Guaranteed to enjoy!

I liked it. I didn't like it as much as some of her others, but I did like it.

I enjoyed this book. The author tells a great tale. I sometimes wonder if they speak more about themselves as writers than they do their characters. For some reason I felt that way about this book.

This is a slow start and a little confusing because there are several characters to introduce, but once it gets going, hang on! I read the last 190 pages in one sitting because I had to! An excellent thriller with twists and turns

I thought this book was good. It started out a little slow, but it really picked up speed in the middle. I don't think this is my favorite Grant County series book, but she stayed true to all the characters and getting more in depth with their storylines. If you like the series you have to read this book. It answered several questions for me.

The newest Sara Lipton and Jeffrey Tolliver fuses forensic science and complex relationships in a tale of faith, doubt, and murder.

FAITHLESS By Karin Slaughter (Bantam Dell) – The publicity blurb says Faithless will be (Slaughter’s) breakthrough hardcover bestseller. It’s the same cast as Slaughter’s previous Grant County, Georgia novels with Lena, Sara, Jeffrey, Carlos and the rest. A young woman has been buried alive with a breathing tube, but then poisoned with cyanide. The autopsy reveals she is pregnant and, it turns outs she is part of the Church of Greater Good, a soybean cooperative that uses Atlanta homeless people as workers. With sentences like this one -“(Lena) wasn’t used to being around religious people unless they were down at the police station.” - I agree with the publicity blurb. This is a great one.

Karin Slaughter never disappoints me! I love her work!!
Karin Slaughter is once again at her best! She is gritty in her writing and story telling. This book is NOT for the faint-of-heart!
The victim was buried alive in the Georgia woods then killed in a horrifying fashion. When Sara Linton and Jeffrey Tolliver stumble upon the body, both become consumed with finding out who killed the pretty young woman.

Great book
This is a hardback book.
Please note - this is actually a hardcover book although the ISBN on this site lists it as a paperback. Amazon lists this ISBN as a hardcover - I'm not sure what happened.
Another excellent book in the Linton/Tolliver series. Sara and Jeffrey stumble across the burial of a young woman obviously buried alive in a wooden coffin with a breathing tube and provisions. They worry that she might have been saved if she had been found before she ran out of air, but autopsy shows she died of cyanide poisoning. This odd turn of events starts an investigation into old secrets and new acts of evil.
Great book- even though it comes up as a paperback, it is a hardcover- book club edition
Karin Slaughter does it again! This was a great story with some shocks and twists. If you like the Grant County stories this is a must read!
This book is hardcover not paperback
The latest in Slaughter's series about Jeffery, Sara, Lena and the rest of the Heartdale group, this book does not disappoint.
The action is quick right from the beginning of the book, where we read about a girl being buried alive. Later, Sara and Jeffrey find a coffin out in the woods... with someone inside. The girl was left with an air passage, so why is she dead?
The investigation leads the police to a small religious community out in the country. Are they as innocent as they seem or did one of the members of the church have something to do with the girl's death?
Gripping, gruesome, and terrifying, this book is another must-read story from Karin Slaughter!
