Not bad. I'm not sure the author doesn't overuse the "giving you hints until you figure out the backstory" thing, though.

Physics professor Jackson Tate can not grasp the random act of a drunken driver killing his spouse and children. Jackson tries to run away from his grief by hitting the highways. He eventually ends up in Maine where he meets a fellow sufferer, Olivia Faraday, whose husband has been lost to Alzheimer's. They find a moment of comfort in their difficult time that will help endure what the future brings.

story about a man who has lost his way after his family is killed by a drunk driver. well written and not unpredictable

A physicist goes on the run after the death of his wife and children at the hands of a drunk driver, and finds the will to live again. Nothing very original or unexpected, but the characters are moving and I enjoyed spending time with them.
