I love Julie Ortolon and this book doesn't disappoint. This is the first in a trilogy of books about the St. Claires. "Falling for You" introduces us to Rory St. Claire. Her family has lived in Galveston for generations, but have long suffered the injustices of old rumors and dirty laundry. When Rory finds out that the family's ancestral home, long since owned by a family enemy, has gone up on the market, Rory is determined to buy it and turn the Island mansion into a beautiful B and B. She knows the house is said to be haunted and she is ready to cash in on its strong and sexy past.
Oliver Chancellor is the banker who is in charge of selling the forclosed Island estate and he knows his future depends on a sucessful sale. When Rory goes to him to try and buy the home, the sparks fly. Oliver's world is turned upside down by Rory and there is no way to escape the attraction, the lust, and the love.
This is a great story. Ortolon is a fantastic writer who knows how to mix a lot of romance with a bit of mystery, a heartfull of passion and a whole lot of laughs. I am eager to continue reading this trilogy and can't wait to see what happens when the rest of the St. Claire family finds their own laughs and love!

I should never have checked this book out from the library when I read the following back description, "...Chance is content with the future that's been mapped out for him, right down to his upcoming engagement to a prim debutante enthusiastically approved by his socialite mother...". I couldn't get past the second chapter when we see that Chance is expecting to engage himself to a woman that he hasn't even been tempted to kiss. Not the type of wish-washy guy I want to read about in a romance.
it was a very cute book. I love this author, and can't wait to read more of her.
FUNNY!! I ENJOYED IT!!
