Not knowing anything about this before listening to it, I must say this is definitely an entertaining audio! Not only was the plot suspenseful, the twists & turns had me questioning myself more than once on how things would turn out. It has literary references, which I enjoy, as well.

Sort of Spoiler Alert (Not of the story):

I'm glad I didn't know about the history of the author and the narrator. I probably would have been biased had I known Christopher Pike is a well known young adult author from when I was a kid (though I hadn't read his work). The narrator, who is absolutely SUPERB!, is also the voice of Bob the Builder. I found this out on the back of the box after finishing the audio. I am SO glad I didn't know that ahead of time! However, I still am going to look for other audios he narrates. I can overlook the fact he was Bob since he is soooo good as a narrator. :)

This was my first Christopher Pike book, but by no means my last. This book graps you from the beginning and keep you hanging on till the end. If you like suspense you will love this.
