In Charleston, South Carolina, Fallon begins. From bondsman to rice planter, from planter to privateer; from the beautiful, disturbingly sensual Elizabeth Carver to the lovely and loving Gabrielle Fourrier; from peace to the greatest Revolution the world has ever seen-a novel beating with the passion of THE FALLON BLOOD!

This is a very interesting book, set in Revolutionary times. I really liked it, but I wouldn't recommend the sequel (a main part of its plot concerns the romantic relationship between the half-brother and half-sister of the hero of this novel). The author also writes as Robert Jordan.
