This may very well be Archer's best book to date. Whether you like art or not, this is one thriller that takes you all over the globe and back again. Once you start, I predict you will have a hard time putting it down until you have read the whole thing.

As always, Jeffrey Archer provides us with his elegant style and this time in the form of a daring theft of a priceless painting, bloodly killings, global chases, greed beyond belief and even a love story! Mr. Archer does it all, he has imagination, the skill to make it all come together and he's a master of words. I guarantee you will sit up at the end and say YES! as everyone gets their reward.

First book I've read which incorporated 9/11 into the theme. Nice thriller set in the art world. Enjoy.

"False Impression" is my 3rd Jeffrey Archer novel and I look forward to reading more in the future. There are twists to the plot along the way and the book is hard to put down. I love his writing.

Jeffrey Archer is an excellent storyteller. He combines mystery, information (in this case art history), and social commentary in a fast-moving, witty book.
Excellent read.
Totally enjoyable read. Covered a woman's successful run out of the North Tower, in time, on 9/11. The whole story was very interesting. I will definitely be reading MORE of Jeffrey Archer's work. I'd not read anything by him prior to this book.
This book was fascinating! I couldn't put it down.
good story.
This was a great book. A very fast read and definitely entertaining. I hated to put it down.
Why was an elegant lady brutally murdered the night before 9/11?
Why was a successful New York banker not surprised to receive a woman's left ear in the mail?
Why did a young woman with a brilliant career steal an impressionist painting?
Why was an honors graduate working as a temporary secretary after inheriting a fortune?
Why was a senior FBI agent trying to work out the connection between these apparently innocent individuals?
A breathtaking journey of twists and turns from New York to London, from Bucharest and on to Tokyo, ends up in a sleepy English village where the mystery surrounding Van Gogh's painting will finally be resolved.
An easy, fast, fun read. Good edge of your seat thriller.

Kept me thinking, good for art enthusiasts.
great book! I love Jeffrey Archer! Highly recommend it.
Fast-paced and fun, an art buyer must steal a Van Gogh to save it from a greedy collector-and to save her own life.
Sorta follows some threads of DaVinci code from an art pov. Well written. Would read the author again.
