This is the first book in the second set of series (Firstborn) with the Baxter Family. There are three sets of series:

Redemption Series (5 books)
Firstborn Series (5 books)
Sunrise Series (4 books)

In addition, the Above the Line Series by Karen Kingsbury also includes the Baxter family.

I have found these books are not good stand alone books as the ending always leaves a little suspense for the reader that only the future books in the series will help answer.

In this book, the main characters are Katy (a former aspiring actress and current producer for a Christian community theater), and Dayne (a current top billing actor and first born son of the Baxters). The novel read through very quickly for me and I am anxious to move along in the series to find out what happens with each of these characters.

Karen Kingsbury's books are so refreshing. I am so glad a friend let me read 'One
Tuesday Morning' & 'Beyond Tuesday Morning'.

Once again Karen Kingsbury pulls out a winner. I love her books - however I was not aware that this series was a continuation of her Redemption series - guess I'll have to go back and read those before I go on. Excellent, faith inspiring book. I'm sure the rest of the series is the same. Carol

The first of the Firstborn series - it's a fantastic book and a good lead-in to the next books in the series.

A quick, light and fluffy read. If you're looking for depth and intensity, look elsewhere. A nice story.

As it is with every other Kingsbury book I've ever read, I loved this book! It isn't quite as good as the first 5 books, but it's still VERY good! I can't wait to read the next one...

FABULOUS! Any fears that this won't live up to the standard set in the Redemption series was quickly put to rest -- EXCELLENT read!

Wonderful continuation of the Baxter familiy drama. I can't wait to read the next book. This series seems like it is going to be as great as the Redemption series!

This is one series I wished would never end. The characters are so real and genuine. I am so glad that Mrs. Kingsbury had this series continue in 14 books!

First in the FIRSTBORN series. The story of Dayne (the moviestar) and Katy (the small town girl). Just enough mystery/suspense to keep you going with a touch of romance but don't read the book waiting for the happy ending. This is a series and there is no ending just a build up for the next book.

Fame is the first book in the soul-stirring new Firstborn series from Karen Kingsbury. As Dayne Matthews returns to Hollywood after his shocking discovery in Karen's best-selling novel Reunion, he faces the dangerous world of fame and paparazzi. Meanwhile, Katy Hart receives the offer of a lifetime--starring opposite Dayne in a Hollywood film. Dayne and Katy's choices will change their hearts and lives forever.

I love Karen Kingsburybooks. Books are easy reading, but the plot is always quite involved and keeps you wanting to read just a few more pages before closing the book. Highly recommended.

Because Katy gets the role, it is a sign that God wants her to take it. Then she is almost killed by a deranged fan, then that is a sign that God doesn't want her to do the movie. Which is it?
It seems God can't make up his mind.
A little to preachy for my taste. The message to not have sex before marriage comes through loud and clear. I just want to read a good story which inspires me. This book clearly was not that
