This book will describe and analyze the family, sex and marriage in England over a 300 year period.

The book discusses family characteristics from structure and values, relationships in society and the family. Here you will learn of the landed classes vs the middle ranks and the reason for change. This book also explains and analyzes marriage and occupations and the education of woman vs subordination of wives.

I found this book interesting, though sometimes the writer over analyzed. I did enjoy learning how people lived during this period of time and how things evolved and didn't evolve over the years.
