A secular Jew and a Roman Catholic priest have published a new book that really transends:

The authors are Fr. William Hart McNichols and Mirabai Starr of Taos, New Mexico.  Fr. McNichols is an iconographer and has been an artist his whole life.  His body of work is vastly diverse.  He has 'written' traditional icons and very modern images (Princess Diana, The Passion of Matthew Shepard, Holy New Prophet Philip Berrigan).

Mirabai Starr is a writer and translator of many spiritual books including St. John of the Cross, St. Teresa of Avila, St. Francis of Asisi and a new book, soon to be published about Judism, Christianity and Islam.  I will edit when I can find the title for this new book. 

This book, MOG Similar to Fire, has 51 icons of the Mother of God by Fr. McNichols and next to that image is a prayer, reflection. poem written by Mriabair Starr.  The poems are non-secular.  Truly inspired prayers about our hopes and dreams for life.
