Throw everything into a pot & cook for about 1/2 hour. When vegetables are tender & pasta is cooked, it is ready to eat!!
I sometimes cut up the chicken, carrots & celery in the morning & put in sealed container with water in refrigerator. I also put all the ingredients on the counter that I will need.
I do the onions separately that night so the onion flavor doesn't spread too much.
This is a great recipe when you know you are going to be rushed when you get home. Just throw it all in and put bread & butter on the table. Also great for the weekend after Thanksgiving.
