I received this PM from Mary two days ago:

Nurse Jeanne,
In have aortic anuerysm. Heart cath am. Then surgery in Houston, Tx Tuesday. Pretty big deal, so I may dissappear for a while.

Let's keep Mary in our prayers. I do not have an address for her so, If anyone does, please let me know.

Thanks so much!

Mary sent me her address! Will try to keep you updated.....

I received this today:

. The cath was easy, but verset did not kick in. I really did not want to remember, but it was not as bad as I expected. No real pain, just uncomfortable.I have no blockage in arteries.YEAH But I do have the ascendending aortic aneurysm, probably a 5.5cm. Luckily, they found the thing on a routine x-ray. I found this hot shot specialist at Baylor/St Luke's Hospital who has accepted me for surgery. Dan and I leave Sunday and I see Dr Joseph Coselli on Monday at 8am. He does not have office hours, just surgery days. So, between surgeries, he will visit with me in his office. Meanwhile I will be having tests of all kinds to prepare for the aorta repair. I probably will have the valve replaced, too. This is not a surgery that I will want to repeat. But feel lucky that they found it before rupture.

Mary --- Will be lifting you up in prayer.  Sounds as though you have the right surgeon.  Take care and know you are on my mind and in my heart.  Thankfully this was found now --- angels are watching over you.

Just got a brief PM from Mary. She apparently survived her surgery and is back in her room -" trying to get better"! Let's keep her in our thoughts and prayers.

Thank you!

Thanks for all your prayers & support. They got me thru the surgery. I am actually ableto email with my Nook Color with wi-fi in room. They want to release me soon from hospital, but I am afraid to be 8 hrs from Dr. I guess I am a wooze after all that Ihave experienced. My sister is staying with poms, so Ineed to get well to relieve her.
