I really like the regular Love Inspired line...and I was wondering who your favorite Love Inspired authors are? A few of my favorite authors are Lynn Cote, Janet Tronstad and Brenda Minton. |

I have also read Janet Tronstad. I remember reading a series about a group of girls who had all had cancer and who knit together. That was pretty good. I also like the love inspired suspense. I have read some of Debbie Giusti's books and they are good. Victoria Bylin has some titles out that I think would be good. I think most of them are westerns. Linda Ford has some really sweet sounding books out about the depression years. I have read the first in the series and plan to read the others. Have you read any of Dorothy Clark's ? I think she is historical. What are your favorites as far a titles? Do you read any heartsongs?

Brenda Minton is my new favorite..liked Tronstad's Sisterhood of the Dropped stitches..also like Allie Pleiter for humor. I haven't read enough I guess to have auto buys other than Minton and maybe Pleiter but I like the miniseries they do -after the storm is the current one and before that I bought Homecoming Heroes.I also read one by Margret Daley? that was pretty good and I've heard Debra Clopton's mule hollow series is good - I still need to see which books I'm missing in that one. I think Lenora Worth has been the only disappointment but I keep getting her stuff hoping sometjhing will change my mind for some reason! eta: oops forgot Judy Baer has some good ones too! what exactly is Love Inspired books? |
They're like the harlequin/silhouette type books but they're christian based so no sex and pretty much the story centers around faith or at least the church or something like that.some tend to be more preachy than others but I've found some that fit that part in 'naturally' in the story and I think those are the best. t hey've added a love inspired suspense line which ranges from a 'cozy' mystery to people being stalked, chased by terrorists, etc and a historical line. some read more like 'chick lit' and others are mini series by different or the same author, some have young characters and some have characters with kids from previous marriages or adopted, etc and the HEA involved them being equally yoked(at least from what Iv'e seen) and if one of the characters isn't christian in the beginning of hte story then they are by the end! |
