This is number 14 in the series and one of her best. A must read.

This was quite disappointing. I was in a hurry to read it, thinking there would be SOMETHING "big" with Ranger or Morelli but it just fizzled. I think Janet is running out of good plot lines and grasping at straws to sell books. She knows we'll buy the new releases because we are HOOKED but truth be told, she really disappointed a few of us with this one.
With the let-down from this, I decided to write my OWN sizzling mystery/Romance. Let's just hope Number 15 from Janet is more interesting with some sensualness in it. Not just a "Ohhh, he kissed me and I got warm to my hoohaa..." and go to the next day all in the same paragraph. She needs to indulge a little more info.
Boring!!

This had it's funny parts, as usual. The part that was a let-down was that I was expecting a romance between Stephanie and Ranger, and it didn't quite turn out the way I wanted it to. (Not to give out TMI)....
I was hoping for a lot of romance and something MORE from either Morelli or Ranger so I'm pretty disappointed. (Maybe I expect too much from Janet?) This is #14, I thought there would be something deeper, being so far down the line in the series. Oh well.

The fun audiobook kept me laughing. It is unabridged and is 7 hours of fun.
Personal vendettas, hidden treasure, and a monkey named Carl will send bounty hunter Stephanie Plum on her most explosive adventure yet.

The Crime: Armed robbery to the tune of nine million dollars

Dom Rizzi robbed a bank, stashed the money, and did the time. His family couldnâÂÂt be more proud. He always was the smart one.

The Cousin: Joe Morelli

Joe Morelli, Dom Rizzi, and DomâÂÂs sister, Loretta, are cousins. Morelli is a cop, Rizzi robs banks, and Loretta is a single mother waiting tables at the firehouse. The all-American family.

The Complications: Murder, kidnapping, destruction of personal property, and acid reflux

Less than a week after DomâÂÂs release from prison, Joe Morelli has shadowy figures breaking into his house and dying in his basement. HeâÂÂs getting threatening messages, Loretta is kidnapped, and Dom is missing.

The Catastrophe: Moonman

Morelli hires Walter 'Moonerâ Dunphy, stoner and 'inventorâ turned crime fighter, to protect his house. Morelli canâÂÂt afford a lot on a copâÂÂs salary, and Mooner will work for potatoes.

The Cupcake: Stephanie Plum

Stephanie and Morelli have a long-standing relationship that involves sex, affection, and driving each other nuts. SheâÂÂs a bond enforcement agent with more luck than talent, and sheâÂÂs involved in this bank-robbery-gone-bad disaster from day one.

The Crisis: A favor for Ranger

Security expert Carlos Manoso, street name Ranger, has a job for Stephanie that will involve night work. Morelli has his own ideas regarding StephanieâÂÂs evening activities.

The Conclusion: Only the fearless should read Fourteen.

Thrills, chills, and incontinence may result.
