When you're looking at your list... how do you know if something on it is actually available? I can't see anything and I'm sure when I posted my wishes that there were some available. I come back & now... I can't figure out if anything is actually available. Did the ones that *were* available go to no one else and that's why I see nothing that says available? or am I blind? or what?

Hi, William! Welcome to PBS! At the top of the page, go to My Account and down to My Lists and over to Wish List. Once you see your wishlisted books, look for a white exclamation point that is encircled in gray. Hover the cursor over this circle, and you will learn where you are on the wishlist for each book--i.e., you might be 8 out of 20, etc.

William--the wishlist is for books that are not available in the system yet--you'll be notified when they are.  Your reminder list, if you use it, can list books that you plan to get in the future--this list will tell you whether or not they are available right now (if they're available, they'll have an ORDER button.)

Right now you can't WL a book if it's posted into PBS.  You have to put it on your reminder list.  They are working on a new system in which they will combine the lists. But right now they are seperate.  When you get offered a WL book it'll appear under your main  account page.  Under settings you can set it up to email you when a WL book has been offered to you.  You can also select auto request for your WL books and if you have a credit and your WL book is posted, it'll automatically order the book for you.  If you don't have a credit it'll go to the 48hr WL hold to give you time to buy or earn a credit.

If you think some of your wish books might be in the system, trying searching for them by the author.  Sometimes one ISBN is wished for but another one is not.      Welcome!

And don't feel stupid. I've been here since 2006 and some of these explanations still make me wonder "what did they say?"
