Enjoyed this book so much, hard to read at times and it opens that way. I had tears in my eyes within in the first few pages and you know for certain that Jackie loved Jack immensely.
Touching, emotional, surprising and tender story of their time in the White House, the love for each other and for their children. Jack was not perfect, very much a scoundrel and heel, but he changed and those last days before November and Dallas, were truly touching and special.
If you have read books about Jack and Jackie but not this one, its a definite book to read. I've read several books about them and this one touched me the most. A powerful, happy and sad, peek into Camelot, two flawed people just trying to be the best parents they could be. The parts of this book where it tells the stories of Jack and Jackie with Caroline and John Jr. are wonderful and normal, like all parents who love their children.
Very glad I read this book and I recommend it if you are a Kennedy fan.
