You know I joined about a month ago wasnt shipping any books and made a few posts and I started shipping some books it was great...things were going so smooth. Then I made a mistake I switched two books. I was pretty pissed at myself.....pm's were flying fast and furious I made a few post asking what should I do. Due to my misunderstanding of the situation I thought these nice people who just wanted the right books were trying to take advantage of me.....I finally figured it out and got the right books to the right people....but not before I jumped off the deep end.....I was gonna close my account....I deleted my posts like I was somehow punishing everyone....basically acted like a child....Than it hit me I looked over at this awesome stack of books I have been receiving and cant wait to read and realized, come on, grow up.....what am I seven? I have been treated very nice by everyone here and have saved a fortune on books I love.....so anyway I know you might think I dont owe you an apology....but if your reading this

How very nice of you to admit all of that.  I too, once threw a little hissy fit on here and deleted all my wish list, reminder list etc.   Who did I hurt?  NO one except my own self.  Today I can't even remember the details.

Your apology is accepted and welcome back to a club of readers who truely care for one another.

I always say when people storm off they are only punishing themselves.  A former buddy of mine left PBS after that whole Amazon Gay/Lesbian thing a few months ago.  I say former buddy becuase we played a lot of games together and hung out on the same boards but now she's closed her account.  All becuase PBS uses Amazon for their book data and Amazon did that weird sorting thing for Gay/Lesbian books.  (I don't remember exactly what they did).

Well her leaving didn't punish PBS at all. Really PBS had nothing to do with other than that they get small commision if you use their link to buy a book from Amazon and that they use Amazon for their book listing info.  Plus I think Amazon fixed the problem.

Anyway she only punished herself.  PBS is the best book trading site out there.

Glad you decided to stick around! Having been at PBS for over four years now, I can certainly vouch for the site and will say that 99.5% of the people I've dealt with have been great! As always, there's got to be a few rude buttheads, but if you let them get to you, as others have said, the only person you're hurting is yourself.

All the rules and nuances at PBS can be confusing when you're new and it's easy to take offense sometimes where none is intended, so am glad you saw that in the end and decided to stay and trade more great books! :)

Wecome back!   The virtual world can be a strange place, where emotions get magnified out of recognition and things happen too fast for people to really process their feelings.  I've found it helpful to take a break now and again to regain my perspective.  Basically, anytime I find myself awake in the middle of the night composing a scathing post, I know it's time to log off for a while.

Thanks for returning and for doing it in such an upfront and honest way.

Welcome to PBS!    Misunderstandings are particularly easy online, but the large majority of PBS members are really nice people.  Very glad you decided to stay :) and wise enough to learn from the experience!
