Has anyone looked at this book other than me? It's by the same guy who wrote House of Leaves. I checked it out from the library last night on a whim, and when I got it home and flipped through it, I noticed there's some slight ghosting/blurriness to the letters on some of the pages. Does anyone know if it's meant to be this way? There's several colors of ink on each page, so it's possible it's a misprint with the ink just slightly mis-aligned. Of course, I wouldn't put anything past Danielewski, so it's possible that it's blurry deliberately... Just trying to figure out if I should just go ahead and read it or if I should wait and try to find a different copy. It doesn't help that I need new glasses anyway, even without blurry lettering!
Update I found an un-blurry copy, so it must have been a misprint. For anyone who's wondering, it's not worth tracking down, IMO. (And this is coming from someone who loved House of Leaves.) Last Edited on: 1/15/13 12:57 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |
