Hi all~ I have a black bonded leather Vine's Expository Reference Bible, and even on the publisher's website I cannot find the correct ISBN... or on Amazon either!!! I've got it listed on my bookshelf under what I know is an incorrect ISBN, but will change it if someone can help!!! This is the first time this has happened to me, but I KNOW there must be an ISBN for this one!!!

did you look on the page that has the publishing info?  sometimes it is there.  But there may not be one and you may need to post it as if there is no ISBN.

  • When your book's ISBN "brings up" another booktype in the database
    • Such as the paperback if you have the hardcover, and vice versa
    • Such as Large Print when you have the regular-font version
    • This happens when the publisher assigns the same ISBN to multiple booktypes).

If your book does not match the listing information (title, author, booktype) in the database for the ISBN on the book, it must be Posted without an ISBN

How do I post a book without an ISBN?

If you cannot find an ISBN on the book, you cannot use one to post it.  You must post it as a book without an ISBN. Finding an ISBN for another version of the book and posting it by that is against club rules. The book must have the correct ISBN on it, the correct binding, title and author. Please do not post other versions on your shelf and then send the incorrect book. If you send a book posted this way and the receiver asks for their credit back, you are required to give it back. Too many *wrong book received* marks could risk your account.

thanks for the input guys. believe me i don't plan on leaving it under the wrong description. it comes up here as a hardback bible, but mine is leather... (and a brand new good one at that)... so I don't want to not post it as I'm sure there is someone out there who can use it..

I'm guessing i will try posting it without an isbn...

Mahala, by listing it with a NON-ISBN listing, you will be able to give it a much more individualized description, since you don't have to worry about whether your copyis the same as any other. You can describe your copy completely (without using conditions such as new) you can mention the leather cover, which would be of interest to people looking at it.

You also can post in the Book Bazaar or the Christian Book Recommendations that you have this on your shelf, so that it gets noticed.
