Greetings, Its been along time since I posted on this forums and been to the website (recently moved back to Waco after a year away). I have delted all my books that I had posted (don't worry I still have these but in storage cause i'm still in the process of moving...well my stuff is in another town about 8hrs away from here and need to rent a uhaul/penskey truck to get it, thats how much I wanted to come back to waco).
well anyway's back on subject.
I recently bought a book at a thrift store and I was gonna post it but the thing is I can't find its ISBN number. The book is copyright 1963 and I've been to Amazon to see if they had its ISBN number but it didn't and it listed a few others with copyrights in the years of 1972, 1987, Jan. 1, 1970.
The book in question is called " The Fall of The House of Habsburg" by Edward Crankshw
On the binding it has the numbers: 445-00113-125
Thanks to anyone who can help. |

This book was pre ISBN number. Prior to the late 70's (I believe) there weren't ISBN numbers. You can post it as a book without an ISBN. On the post books tab there is a link for "Post a book without an ISBN". You can start there :) Last Edited on: 3/23/10 9:14 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

Yuppers, I've been doing some volunteer library work which includes entering data for a bunch of 1960's YA books...none have ISBNs :( |

Just an FYI, but books without ISBN numbers must always be posted through the "post book without ISBN" function. Even if you could find one on amazon, the number would not be for that specific printing. I have a feeling you have figured this out already since you noticed that the copywrites didn't match and asked in here, but I thought I would spell it out just to be sure, and in case someone uses this thread for reference someday. |
