I got this book because it had SO many excellent reviews, but I put it aside for the longest because the synopsis was...well, to be frank, quite off-putting to squeamish ole me.
Anywho, I am so glad that I finally dug it out of the Mount TBR.
Yes, it's painful. There were passages where difficult to read. However, it was realistic and overall positive.

I loved this book. Could not put it down wanting to see how the young man dealt with the problems of trying to make a normal life again.
