Has anyone read this?  I just recently started the first book "Across the Face of the Moon" and am really enjoying it so far!

I read the first two, and enjoyed  them quite a bit--but I never got around to finding the third one, and I've heard it isn't that great. He's great with setting, and I love how he uses weather in the stories. But I feel like both his plot and his characters could use some honing.
