This is an overall very different viewpoint of wartime Germany. It comes from a Latter Day Saints / Mormons point of view. It starts in about 1937 with a fifteen year old girl and goes all the way through her lifetime. The writer of the story has ancestors who were German and she seems to have done a lot of extensive research into this time period. I enjoyed this book all the way through.
